For webmasters who wish to find a simple and free way to create a layout that is optimized for search engines and for users alike, Search Engine Friendly Layouts has a series of 24 code samples that can be used free of charge.

All of the layouts are CSS/XHTML-based and load the content first.  This allows a search engine spider to quickly and accurately discern the content of a page, while loading the content itself in the minimal amount of time for the user and therefore "getting to the point."

There are two-column and three-column layouts, layouts with headers, layouts with footers, liquid layouts, and fixed width layouts.
